Malaysian Culture to Me

What come first to your mind when we talk about Malaysian Culture?
Since we were in primary and secondary schools, we actually have been exposed a lot about it.

We were taught to respect to other ethnic groups and appreciate each other’s culture.
Proud to say, until today, we could still live peacefully in this land of harmony which made up by the symphony of culture.

Be gladful and appreciate the variety of culture we have right now, love our country, Malaysia!
Unity of Culture, Identity of Malaysia!

Unity of Culture, Identity of Malaysia

To me, Malaysia is the land that consists of multi ethnic, multi culture, multi lifestyle and this is what makes Malaysia becomes unique and different from other countries. And it is like: You cannot find another “Malaysia” in this world! Malaysia, Malaysia, Malaysia, sounds like not so interesting to you, but we should be grateful to be born in this country because we as the citizens of Malaysia do not experience disasters and poverty.

We can get to know the different cultures in Malaysia through knowing the traditional games, traditional costumes, traditional events and celebrations, traditional foods and their history. =)

I have a lot of friends; we came from different state, race, age, religions, skin color, gender, culture and even languages in different ways. But, we are all Malaysians and indifferent even they all came from different races. We are Malaysian and it is called 1 Malaysia.

We all are living in a harmony and peaceful country without conflict that is Malaysia. We have diverse ethnics and also culture as well.

We are proud to be a Malaysian; we have the opportunity and can even try the different foods, culture, games, costumes, and language from the others ethnic.

We need to let more people to realize all the different culture in Malaysia.

1 Culture, 1 race, 1 Malaysia

Malaysia is a multicultural country, which is the specialty of it and it based on three main ethnics who are Malays, Chinese, and Indian and other minorities ethnics. In my point of view, Malaysia is the country that we can feel different type of cultural styles and also different type of lifestyle. In Malaysia, cultures are the one makes Malaysia a unique tourism paradise. Cultures shapes and reflect lifestyles, beliefs, and attitude of the citizen in Malaysia. I like malaysian culture because I can gain and feel what I can’t get from other countries but at the same time, I can see other countries cultures also available in our country.

In my opinion, Malaysian culture is a unique culture which consists of multi-races in our country. There are variety of traditional foods, symbols, costumes and games of different races which are Malay, Chinese and Indian. Thought out this, we also can feel the unity and harmony in our country. This is where we are grateful of our Malaysian culture. I hope that we as a Malaysian will preserve our culture so it will last forever until the latest generation.

“Unity of Culture, Identity of Malaysia”.

Malaysia is an awesome country with different races and cultures. Our country is much more harmony and unite as we are to be compared with other countries. Malays, Chinese, and Indian are the three major ethnics in our country while minority of ethnics is Kadazan, Iban, Baba & Nyonya, Bidayuh, Orang Asli and so on. Therefore, Malaysia is adapting with many different of cultures. However, all of the races are willing to respect and tolerate with each other. It leads Malaysian to live in a peaceful and harmless country.

I am proud and happy to be one of the Malaysian. I am able to recognize more cultures and try to adapt it with friends of different backgrounds and cultures. It may be sometime complicated due to the overlapping of cultures but actually it is interesting too. For example, Baba & Nyonya is one of the cultures that sound most interesting to me. It is an overlapping of Malay and Chinese culture. I am just curious about this particular culture which I never get in touch with it yet.

Besides that, I love to be Malaysian as there are a lot of different cultural foods. For instance, there are few culture traditional foods like Satay, Ayam Rendang, Dim Sum, Naan, Murtabak, Nyonya Kuih, Popiah and so on. When I think of these foods, they make my mouth watering. Yet, Malaysia is a food palace and no matter where you go, you will never die for hunger. This is because there are many restaurants, cafĂ©, Mamak stall and you can even see the hawker sell their tasty food just at the road side. Other than that, if you’re really love Malaysian food, for sure you’ll enjoy every week’s night market which is near to our residential area.

There’re really a lot of stall with different cultural cuisines.

Music all around us ^^
